Amr Diab was my first contact with Egyptian culture, even before seeing the pyramids, and this was the first of his songs I heard – a classic for all Egyptians. It remains one of my favorites from the singer.
I even got to see him live in Concert on a later trip the same year.
I had just discovered Monocle’s internet radio station, Monocle 24, when I heard Yuna for the first time. It was not this specific song, but she caught my attention and I quickly added it to my Spotify playlist.
This song was one of the first gems I found thanks to two extremely useful marvels of technology: XM Satellite radio and the Shazam App.
I’ve been playing the Chill station on my new car and when I find a song I like, I use the Shazam app to save the name quickly and effortlessly. Later, I add it to my Spotify playlist and dig down to see what other cool songs this artist has made.
San Francisco is known for a vibrant craft cocktail scene. Black bird is no doubt one of the best places and a personal favorite.
Since they do not serve food and we’ll want to have good carbs in our stomac to let us enjoy numerous drinks, there will be a well-rated taqueria just around the corner.
